About Me
Sandra Hurree
I am a qualified BACP Accredited & Registered Person Centred Counsellor, and CPCAB qualified Clinical/Therapeutic Counselling Supervisor. After raising my children over the last 24 years, not only has it been a joy, but it also feels that life has thrown me in all sorts of different directions and has offered me lots of different life experiences and challenges, of which I have overcome. One of my main aims in life is to help, support, guide and mentor others in overcoming their most difficult challenges and most difficult periods in their lives.
I would like to support and guide you in a way that will enable you to offer yourself the level of kindness that you may need to face those daily struggles, life challenges, fear, difficult decisions and uncertainties.
I offer a non-judgmental approach, working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds different beliefs and values, and with different needs. I maintain professional standards at all times in accordance with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice and ensure my compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). I am experienced in dealing with emotional struggles, relationship difficulties, negative thought process/behaviours, helping to identify triggers, explore traumatic experiences, and guiding you if feeling lost and wanting to find yourself again or exploring outside of your comfort zone.
Remember that life is full of challenges, twists and turns, and it is only when you allow yourself to be open to understanding yourself, that you will see the possibilities and the paths ahead that may lead you to a place of contentment and fulfilment. I fully understand the difficulties in just making the decision on whether to embark in therapy, but would also like you to consider the possible impact of not seeking support.
Being an Accredited member of the BACP, means that I have taken further steps to demonstrate that I have achieved high standards of knowledge, experience and development.
